Today has been an immense blessing as some of The Gathering were able to go through to Simon's Town and serve at My Father's House and then join them for church at the beach ministering to some of the local homeless community that My Father's House are in relationship with through their Community Kitchen and Resource Centre.

Church at the beach was an exciting gathering and it felt like church that Jesus would have wanted to be a part of.

A time of praise & worship was followed by some prophetic words and a time of ministering to those that responded to the words shared, and it felt amazing and humbling to be a part of something so special but which is a weekly occurrence for My Father's House.

The morning began with a coffee and chat in the Resource Centre next door to the Community Kitchen and then we were very quickly involved in cooking up the food for those that would be attending church at the beach later in the afternoon.

Mongezi and Gloria got roped in to making the sadza/pap and had fun swapping their recipes. Apparently it was good because it received plenty of compliments when it was served.

Phil & Kuda got busy braaing chicken legs, wings and some sausages, whilst Paula & I whistled up a curried tomato sauce to top the sadza.

One of the things we've always loved about Shaddie's ministry is his ability to draw different folks from all walks of life together to serve the vision of the church, and today we even had a couple of Mormons join us to serve.

At one point we worked out that alongside the South Africans serving today, there were also Brits, Malawians, Zimbabweans a Kenyan and a Yank from Texas, all working in harmony with a view to serving the Kingdom of God through ministering to some of the poorest and most vulnerable in society.

This is the church we love being a part of!
