In the midst of all the busyness at The Gathering's new home, it was nice to finally take a few minutes to drink in the view we will get to enjoy in the coming months.All the jobs we were expecting to get done on Monday have now been finished, we have a shiny roller door, the front window has been replaced and the electrics have been sorted.
Next it's on to the last few major jobs such as painting, putting up a new stud wall and fixing The Gathering's sign to the front of the building. We're also planning on tinting the windows so that our Homework Club will have some privacy when it's operating here next term. Hopefully our last job will be to change what passes for a kitchen at present for some proper units to store our Soup Kitchen stuff.
We're hoping that by the middle of next week we'll just be left with a bit of cleaning to do before our first Sunday on the 2nd of July.
